7 months pregnant and my partner lost his job. We are forced to move out of the flat early and in fact leave the country. We are not allowed to speak to our landlord about releasing us from the agreement with 2 months notice. The agents are totally indeferrent and we received inhumane treatment. We are blackmailed to sign extremely terrible additional terms for early termination and to be liable for up to £5K of fees and rent before they can even accept our 2 months perfectly sensible leaving notice. They refuse to speak to the landlord if we do not sign and to start reletting the property.
Misleading agreement in the first place, total lack clarity, lack of human touch, agents are brainless robots who keep repeiting their standard terms without making any attempt to help me in any way as they client, as a person and on top of everything as a pregnant woman.
I feel victimised and in the same time i feel like a criminal for wanting to resolve the situation reasonably and for wanting to speak to landlord.
Don't sign agreements with no early termination clause! Never expect sympathy, usefull advise or human tratment in this office. Be sure your best interest is their last priority

Andrews letting (http://www.andrewsonline.co.uk) have been managing our uk property since we moved to Australia 4 years ago, the first 3 years were fine.
Since Chris Archer was appointed manager things have gone from bad to worse. He has ignored all emails for the last 4 months and promises to phone never happen.
The original girl at the office we were dealing with was always polite and attentive. Unfortunately she left like a few other female members of staff under Mr Archer.
We have had the same tenants in the house for 4 years, the original agreement was for 2 years and that was then extended by a further 2 years. We have just found out that Mr Archer changed the tenancy agreement for the second 2 year period without telling us, removing an important clause that was in the original. As our agent Mr Archer signed the new agreement for us so we never got to see what he had done.
Katherine Morrison at Andrews is looking after our house, if you can call it that. Over the last 3 months she has been away from the office for over 5 weeks, during which time no other member of staff deals with outstanding issues.
Our tenants are now in the last few months of the agreement and have become 'difficult'. Late payment of rent and damage to property is starting to surface and its clear Inspections were never done correctly. Katherine has informed us '"Not to worry, allow the tenants to damage the property and we will deducted it from the deposit". Prevention should be the better option and there is a legal obligation to mitigate any damage. Plus £30,000 of damage deducted from a £4000 deposit .....that don't work.
They have constantly ignored our written instructions.
We are now in the last 3 months of the tenancy and Katherine has terminated the agency agreement as she did not like us calling her incompetent.
We have to now return from Australia to manage the property in the last few months as no agent is going to take on some other agents mistakes and for only a 3 month period.
